Alice Tiezzi

Psychomotor therapist

Alice was born in Firenze, Italy, in 1982. She has a rich and longstanding background in dance and movement having started at just five years of age at the M° Loris Gai a Pistoia school of classical dance and continued her journey first with the Toscana Ballet Company, then the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Corp de Ballet in Florence. In 2003 she started to explore contemporary dance studying with the Zappalà Danza Company in Catania, Sicily.

In 2005 Alice moved to Belgium, where she worked as a freelance dancer and started to develop as a choreographer. It was during this time that Alice discovered a passion for teaching and since 2007 has been teaching ballet, contemporary dance, and awareness and movement to children and adults in different schools in Brussels, as well as within the framework of extra-curricular activities in the European Schools of Uccle and Ixelles. In 2012 she returned to study to do a specialism in Psychomotor therapy at CPSE and IPEPS, and since September 2014 Alice has been training as a dance therapist with Benoît Lesage, Estella Undurraga and Angela Loureiro.

Alice works with the Fabrique du Pré Day Center for adults in psychiatric care in Nivelles giving movement workshops within the framework of the therapy they provide, and she is an assistant psychomotor therapist for the Gennas Pass-sports asbl in Brussels, which provides children with group and individual therapy.
